Geisenheim Research Center
The Geisenheim Research Center is one of the oldest research institutions in the areas viticulture, enology, wine technology and beverage research, horticulture and landscape architecture in Germany.
It was founded in 1872 as a trust established by Baron von Lade and the Prussian government. Today the Research Center is assigned to the portfolio of the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts.
The Geisenheim Research Center ranks among the leading institutions in the research fields: viticulture, enology and wine technology, beverage research and horticulture.
