| - The Geisenheim Research Center that was founded in 1872 as a trust established by Baron von Lade and the Prussian government is one of the oldest research institutions in viticulture and horticulture in the German speaking area.
- The Research Center conducts applied and basic-oriented research in the areas viticulture, horticulture enology and beverage research.
- Within a close cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden, some 800 students are supervised in lectures and practica in the fields viticulture and enology, beverage research, horticulture and landscape architecture.
- It is our aim to conduct innovative research and to develop and offer practicable tools for the industries in order to improve their competitiveness. Future engineers, B.Sc. and M.Sc. graduates shall be able to accept leading positions in the respective industries in Germany and abroad.
